But the forecast promised that the wind should get stronger during the day..
With the side side offshore wind and the already nice waves the picture of a good event was all there..
I rigged 4.7 till 5.9 up so I would be prepared for everything..
The weather was quite cold so after a while waiting for my heat I was already getting cold..

During the heats before mine I saw the wind was getting less and less and by the time it was my turn I had to use my 5.9 Duke and my Allwave 92L. That heat was still okay.
The next heat I already had to struggle more and more.. I still had to do one jump next to the two wave rides and that was pretty hard to do, as I was not planning anymore. Again I managed to pass the heat and by the time I was in the half final I was already happy that I came that far.. In these kind of conditions you need luck.. This is one of those things that I don’t like..

I passed the half final too, so there I was in the final together with Collin Ansink, Jeroen Boelema and Nikaj Droop..
The wind was just enough to float out.. The waves became much nicer so the final became all about wave riding..
I struggled but on the end I managed to catch a few nice waves and that was enough for a second place..
1. Nikaj Droop
2.Martin Ten Hoeve
3.Jeroen Boelema
